Stiletto
Stiletto is a coffee table inspired by the traditional shape of a high heel pump, and the iconic look of the Louboutin red bottom (or in my case, yellow bottom).
The design is sleek, geometric, and aims to remain simple while still having the potential to be a statement piece. This is further possible due to the possibility of colour variants, that could help it fit in any interior.
The idea is also for the piece to still pay homage to the high heel inspiration, whilst having its own formal identity and not feeling like a prop or gimick.
This design was initially created as part of the 100 Day Project Scotland 2023, where every day for 100 days, I reimagined an existing design, whether famous, iconic, or incredibly mundane, as a piece of furniture or homeware. These designs were then modelled in Blender. The Stiletto table was a standout, and as such I decided to take it forward.

The piece was created in collaboration with my grandfather. Layers of aeroply were bent and attached around a central metallic structure. The table was then sanded and painted with a contrast matte black top and glossy yellow wrap-around bottom. If red is associated to Louboutin, those around me have grown to associate yellow to me, and as such this color change felt like an appropriate way to pay homage to the inspiration, while integrating my own visual identity.
